John Carpenter is without a doubt one of the most influential genre directors of our time. He defined the slasher, horror and thriller genre for a whole generation with classics like The Thing, Halloween, Assault on Precinct 13 and Dark Star. Even his more controversial entries like Prince of Darkness and In the Mouth of Madness are flawed but really interesting movies. Just be less judgmental about his works from the 90s onward. Mr. Carpenter does turn 70 next year, so give the guy some slack!

Matterfall coming on Playstation 4 in August!

Matterfall is developed by Housemarque, after the success of Angry Birds Trilogy (2012) and Alienation (2016). This August they will launch a brand new amazing side-scrolling shooter game.
The protagonist wearing a super cyber suit called Avalon Darrow, allows players to jump and dodge in the mission. During the reveal gameplay at E3, we saw the Avalon Darrow allow players to upgrade by passing the level, with such items as a grenade launcher, EMP or even freezing time. Players can also unlock the weapons (homing gun, shotgun, sniper) by saving the civilians. Please see the beta gameplay and screenshots shown below.

Oh Carp! These Splatoon 2 Caps Are Inkredible!
Yeah buoy, EditMode is releasing another round of Splatoon themed mesh caps and also provides a re-run of their splat-tastic hats from the first game. All clothes are faithful reproductions of what the characters wear in-game.
The King Flip Mesh Cap, for example, is from Inkopolis brand King Tank and can be worn with the bill flipped up exactly like the characters in the game do. It’s like an unlockable cosmetic item, but offline *gasp*! It comes in all six colors of the game’s Inkling characters: pink, green, blue, yellow, light green and purple.

Tekken 7 has been released for a few months already and players always expect something new in the latest version. Bandai never disappoints fans and they have already confirmed they will bring back the Ultimate Tekken Bowl mode, first bowl mode was released on Playstation 2 at the Tekken Tag Tournament. Some of the players may also have tried this on IOS before but this download was only available for short period. This time, players can use different fighters in bowling mode and can focus on the power and angle during the game, plus expect the characters to have special abilities in the trailer shown below.
